Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is just after Katniss and Peeta won the 74th Hunger Games, they returned to District 12. Before the victory tour that both winners will do to all districts and end in the Capitol, President Snow made a visit to Katniss. This visit was to tell her that she had to convince everyone in Panem that she and Peeta are madly in love and if she doesn’t he will get all her loved ones killed. Later one during the victory tour she finds out that several of the districts are planning on making an uprising against the Capitol. During their stay at the Capitol, Katniss, Peeta, and Effie went to a party at President Snow’s mansion. At this party Katniss met Plutarch Heavensbee, the new head gamemaker, which showed her that he had a Mockingjay in his clock. The Mockingjay was a symbol of hope for the districts. After a few days president Snow announced that due to it being the 75th Hunger Games, the Quarter Quell, there will be a slight change in the rules. The tributes would be chosen from the existing pool of victors. Katniss and Peeta are chosen again for the games. During the Games, Finnick Odair started helping her and Peeta. While in the Games Katniss shot an arrow to the force field surrounding them and, because of a lightning, she destroyed it but got herself electrocuted. A hovercraft got her and when she woke up she saw Haymitch, Finnick, and Plutarch talking about the uprising. They told her that all was part of the plan and that Peeta and Johanna Mason got caught by the capitol. Then Gale appears to tell her that they are going to district 13 because 12 was torn to ashes by bombs.
This book is totally recommended by me because this makes you like to read. it completly engages with you and you eont stop reading. The writing of the story is very good because it has a very fast rhythm so it makes a lot of events happen within a few pages. This is a great thing about the book because a lot of situations happen in the entire book, and makes you want to read more.
